How to Read AI NASDAQ Signals: A Critical Look
Questions to ask before trusting an AI- or algorithm-generated NASDAQ signal: source, costs, evidence and liquidity.
When you see a signal the first question is not "buy or sell?" but "why should I trust this?" Here is a checklist.
1. Who or what produces the signal?
Are the rules explained, or is "AI" a black box? If a system cannot be explained you cannot know when it breaks.
2. Is there evidence?
Ask for out-of-sample and live (paper or real) records that include costs. Screenshots of cherry-picked winners are not evidence. See the Backtesting and Paper Trading Guide.
3. Is it actionable?
Is the stock liquid? Wide spreads, thin volume and opening gaps can erase a paper gain. Could you actually have traded at that price when the signal arrived?
4. Is there a risk limit?
A signal without a stop level and a position-sizing logic is incomplete.
5. What is the commercial relationship?
Someone who earns from selling signals has a reason to inflate results. Check their legal status and regulatory registration; in some countries giving investment advice requires a licence.
Conclusion
A signal is an idea, not proof. Do your own verification and never risk more than you can afford to lose. For the broader picture see the Algorithmic Trading Guide.
